AUDIT & FINANCE
Coordinates annual audit. Works with Chapter Treasurer and a public accounting firm. The audit report is submitted to the President, and a copy is made available to National.

CERTIFICATION & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Coordinates review programs for eligible members who desire to sit for the professional examinations for Certified Healthcare Professional and Fellow of HFMA.

CONSTITUTION & BYLAWS
Reviews bylaws for applicability to current Chapter operations, and recommends changes to the Board of Directors. Researches items referred to the Committee. All changes must be presented to the membership for vote.

FOUNDERS AWARD
Monitors member points toward awards. Coordinates submission of points to National.

LEGISLATIVE ACTION, SPECIAL TASK FORCE, LIAISON TO NMHA/HFMA
Advises the President and the Officers of the Board of Directors on legislative action, makes HFMA aware of ongoing legislation, and advises HFMA on the impact of legislative action to the healthcare industry.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Selects nominees for Chapter positions and Board of Directors. This committee will select candidates for presentation of the nominees to the Board and membership. This presentation will take place at the Chapter’s January program for membership ratification and installation. The Committee is usually chaired by the Immediate Past President.

PERSONNEL PLACEMENT
Notifies membership of job opportunities via e-mail and Chapter Newsletter. Maintains file of resumes for placement inquiries.

YERGER AWARD
Identifies opportunities for potential awards. Advises Board regarding data collection and completion of applications. Reviews applications prior to submission and makes recommendations for improvement.
